Curtis was such a nice guy. I remember him very well and am sorry he is gone. He was a lovely, lovely soul.

Curtis and I were best friends at Lincoln Elementary. At some point, for a "reason" I've long forgotten, we had a falling out and went our separate ways. If he was still with us I would want to make amends and re-affirm our friendship. It is one more reminder that life is fragile and to open our hearts with each other while there is still time.

Curtis, my post is in my heart.  This isn't the final wave, you just got there first.  As corny as it sounds, you are one of my best friends and will always be.  You are missed.

I remember Curtis from swim team during freshman and sophmore years.  We were competitors in the freestyle individual and freestyle relay events.  I remember coach Willie Warren telling me during one practice session that if I did not work harder during practice that Curtis would "clean my clock" during some of the swim meets.  I recall that we ended up being team mates on several freestyle relay teams and the team doing quite well.  I enjoyed the friendly competition with him and the other swim team members.
