Steve was always such a happy, active, happy-go-lucky guy. I remember so many times watching him play basketball at the Community Center on Roosevelt Ave. A real regular there. He was also a great companion on the "C" track team. Another classmate gone way too soon!
I recall meeting Steve in all places at Osan Air Force Base, South Korea. He was a Staff Sgt and I was a buck Sgt (3 stripper). This was over the winter of 1969/1970. We were in the Sgt barracks on the base, but lived in different wings of that building. I do not recall where he worked on base, but we ran into each other on occassion such as the gym, movie threatre and dining hall.
Thomas Soto reminded me that Steve did not serve in the military. After some checking he was right; it was Terry Thompson from the class of 1965 that I met at Osan Air Force Base in South Korea in 1969/70. Thanks Tom for that correction.
