Thanks to Jim Kalteren for letting us know that John passed away peacefully in April, 2015. John was so much fun, and so talented. He and I used to fish together off the Santa Cruz Pier - I always caught more fish than he did even though they were pathetic-looking little things. Rest in peace, John. I'm so sorry you're gone.
