On the morning of March 3, 2011, long time Grants Pass resident and cabinet business owner, Doug Wilkie took the hand of his Lord Jesus and stepped into Eternal Rest.

His loving memory will be held in the hearts of his wife, Marjie; his parents, Harriet and Carl Skounborg of Chico, California; his sisters, Chris Perske, Gail Bertagna, Sharyn Belkofer, Judy Goldthwaite, and Carla Vanella, all of California; his daughters, Emily Wilkie, Mandy Lindsey, and Megan Baker; his sons, Chris Murphy, Eli Baker, and Jesse Baker; six grand children who knew he was the best grandpa ever; two nieces and three nephews who knew he was one of the best uncles ever; and many cousins that will hold onto treasured childhood memories.

Douglas Harry Wilkie was born in Palo Alto, CA and raised as a child in Redwood City. His family moved to Chico, CA where he graduated from Chico High. He served honorably in the US Navy from 1967 to 1970. After serving in the military he traveled through Southern Oregon, and being an avid outdoorsman he decided to stay.
Doug was an expert craftsman, providing fine custom cabinetry to the Rogue Valley for 32 years. His passion was his music and he loved to play his guitar. Most recently he was a member of two worship teams for Celebrate Recovery.

Service arrangements are being made by Stephens Family Chapel. Cards and gifts to the family can be sent to the family in care of Stephens Family Chapel, 1629 Williams Hwy Grants Pass, OR 97527. Online Memory Book can be accessed at www.stephensfc.com Donations in his memory can be made to local charities that benefit those in need. The family invites those who would like share in a Memorial Celebration of his Life to be held at 2:00PM Saturday afternoon, March 26, 2011.
