I did not get to know her during our Sequoia years. But, seeing that she was in Ski Club and in Culture Board, some of our class may be able to speak about their knowing Bonnie. Too bad we didnd't know about her passing sooner.

While I didn't know her well, we sat next to each other in history class.  But I do have a memory that speaks to her spirit, before Christmas 1966 she asked Mrs. Anderson (the teacher) for a minute to offer an announcement.  The announcement?  "If anyone is sad about the Holidays, or has nowhere to go for Christmas, see me after class.  You are welcome to spend Christmas with my family."

While I was certainly surprised (having come from a troubled home before getting to Redwood City) her offer became the type of Cherokee Spirit I remember so well.  Rest In Peace Bonnie....

I love that memory Mitch.  It certainly does speak to her generosity of spirit.  Thanks for sharing.

Bonnie was in a few of my classes but I didn't know her that well.  I recall she was very sweet and had a great smile!  Rest in peace!

For whatever forgotten reason,, Bonnie and I had a very negative relationship at Sequoia. That said, I am sorry that she has passed. May she Rest In Peace.

I didn't know Bonnie, but having read Mitchell's story, I would like to have known her. Rest In peace Bonnie.

What a legacy Bonnie left us in her loving gesture that day.   Thank you Mitch, for reminding us of the enduring power of random kindness.

Thank you Mitch for posting that cool story about Bonnie's Christime offer to classmates. THAT puts some "spirit" in the person that some of us did not get to know, but can now apprciate her.
